Jocelyn Cortez
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. I am passionate about helping children and adolescents navigate difficult emotions and experiences through evidence-based and creative practices.
With experience in both school settings and private practice, I have worked with children, adolescents, and families dealing with challenges such as depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, grief and loss, emotion regulation, and relationship difficulties. I find great fulfillment in witnessing students become more connected with themselves and their emotions. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment where students feel heard and valued.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, baking, traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with my Miniature Dachshund, Aspen.
I am so excited to be part of Renaissance Secondary School!
