"After I made the transition to RSS, I now know how much school can teach me beyond just the quadratic formula. This school has taught why the quadratic formula works. It has taught me how school subjects are intertwined and shouldn’t be separated. I have learned how to problem solve through trying to start a new school. I have learned how to be more flexible, which I now realize is how life really works. Every day is not going to have a perfectly set schedule. I have learned how hands on learning pushes my thinking and my perspectives. I have learned how important community is, and how it should be implemented into everything. I have learned that I shouldn’t have just accepted that for my high school career was going to be doing hours of homework, eating dinner in my room, and just trying to make it through every day. This transition to RSS was very stressful, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made for my education and my well-being as a person!"
